Founder Lena Evans oversees grants and manages marketing and promotion of organizations who support our charitable causes.  Using her Vietnamese birth name Phueng Ngoc translated to English, JADE PHOENIX as her moniker, Ms. Evans has dedicated much philanthropic effort to social service causes.

Ms. Evans's efforts have garnered her many honors, including from President Biden The President’s Lifetime Volunteer Achievement Award 2022.  She has also been conferred with the United Nations Humanitarian Award 2022, and as a Salvation Army Woman of Dedication Honoree 2022, as well as nominations for the 2022 Irvine Foundation Leadership Awards, as Woman of the Year 2016 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Outstanding Philanthropist for National Philanthropy Day 2016, the prestigious L'Oreal Paris Women of Worth award 2014, San Diego Magazine Woman of the Year award 2014, and Longines Women Who Make a Difference award 2013, which recognizes women who have done exceptional work improving the lives of children in their community.  She was a featured nominee in Yahoo's Women Who Shine award 2012 for touching lives and doing extraordinary things in her community. 

Ms. Evans was named San Diego's Best Philanthropist/Volunteer 2011 by the readers of Ranch & Coast magazine, as well as a San Diego Magazine Women Who Move the City 2011 and nominated as a Woman of the Year. Also in 2011, Ms. Evans received the 96.5 KyXy Hometown Heroes Award, as nominated by members of the community for her service to the community, country, and world.

Fulfilling her passion for community service, Ms. Evans lends her time and talent as a leading fundraiser for local, state and national political candidates, and is an activist for social causes including women's and immigrant rights.

As the Chair of the USA Duke of Edinburgh Cup--a fundraising program of the British Monarchy's Duke of Edinburgh's Award International, she hosted the Earl and Countess of Wessex's first joint visit to the United States.  She has served as an Ambassador of the Invictus Games Orlando, the Clinton Foundation and the San Diego Film Festival, as well as having been a dominant USA fundraising touchpoint for Sentebale, The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry's personal charity, hosting multiple events benefiting the organization.

Ms. Evans is a pioneer of social justice, leading voice for the Asian American community, and long-standing supporter of democratic values. She is the quintessential modern-day activist, embodying her values of equality and economic opportunity, philanthropy and politics. She served on the National Finance Committee for Clinton for President 2016, and as National Co-Chair for the Biden for President 2020 AAPI Finance Council, and is an AAPI Power 100 delegate.  

Boards on which Ms. Evans has served include the March of Dimes, San Diego Symphony, City Ballet, Rady Children's Hospital RSF Auxiliary (for which she chaired “Celebration of Champions" for nine years), and ArtReach.  Advisory Boards include San Diego Rescue Mission, San Diego Master Chorale, and Pacific Lyric Association Opera, as well as Steering Committee for The Old Globe Theatre Guilders.   

Organizations with which Ms. Evans enjoys membership include: Aspen Institute Fellows, Royal Society of Saint George CA, Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, Confrérie du Sabre d'Or US Embassy, and Priory of the Christian Shield.

Ms. Evans is a spokesperson for the AARP, and an Ambassador for the Women's Alzheimer's Movement.  She currently serves on the National Conflict Resolution Center A Path Forward Task Force, on the Board of Directors for the Kids for Peace Foundation, as an Ambassador of the Cybercrime Support Network,  Membership Chair for the Royal Society of Sant George CA, and on the Executive Committee as Aumonier for the Priory of the Christian Shield.
