Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Lena Evans oversees grants to individuals and organizations, and manages the direct marketing of business organizations who support charitable causes.

Ms. Evans was born in Saigon, Vietnam to parents of French and Vietnamese descent. Using her birth-given Vietnamese name (Phueng Ngoc translated to English is JADE PHOENIX) as her moniker, she has dedicated much philanthropic effort to social service causes, bereaved military families, pediatric medical and arts education and outreach programs.

Ms. Evans’s efforts have garnered her the honor of being nominated as Woman of the Year 2016 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Outstanding Philanthropist for National Philanthropy Day 2016, the prestigious 2014 L'Oreal Paris Women of Worth award, 2014 San Diego Magazine Woman of the Year award, and 2013 Longines Women Who Make a Difference award, which recognize women who have done exceptional work improving the lives of children in their community. She was a featured nominee in Yahoo's "Women Who Shine" 2012 award for touching lives and doing extraordinary things in her community. Ms. Evans was named San Diego's "Best Philanthropist/Volunteer 2011" by the readers of Ranch & Coast magazine, as well as a San Diego Magazine "Women Who Move the City 2011" and nominated as a Woman of the Year. Also in 2011, Ms. Evans received the 96.5 KyXy "Hometown Heroes Award," as nominated by members of the community for her service to the community, country, and world.

Ms. Evans is a business entrepreneur whose diverse career has touched in the entertainment industry, high-technology sector, public relations, legal services and fashion design.

As founder and for ten years, a principal of Global Entertainment Strategies, a diversified media consulting firm which pioneered the new media era as the first cross-industry concern dedicated to the task of joining the leading visionaries of the Silicon Valley with Hollywood, Ms. Evans specialized in bringing together leaders of the technology and entertainment industries to create new and innovative ventures. Ms. Evans also managed the complete development cycle of eCommerce ventures from concept to execution, and ongoing management, and she was a founding partner in a handful of Internet entertainment companies, as well as a digital visual effects and post production company. GES' clients included, EDS Digital Studios, iThought, Virtual Celebrity Holdings, Global Icons, Reactor, Heavens' Bistro, Ultimate Pro Wrestling, and Spelling Communications.

Before Global Entertainment Strategies, Ms. Evans was a recognized senior executive at a handful of entertainment and media companies, served on the Board of Directors of six entertainment industry organizations and often spoke on panels and published industry-related articles. Ms. Evans' production banner, Jade Phoenix Entertainment owned and developed a slate of feature films and television projects.
During her corporate career, Ms. Evans was a senior executive at media companies including Global Icons (Executive Vice President), Virtual Celebrity Productions (Executive Vice President), Caliban Filmworks (Executive Vice President), Cinema Research Corporation (Vice President Sales & Marketing), Digital Rezolution (Vice President Sales & Marketing), Edward R. Pressman Film Corporation (Vice President Strategic Planning), Carolco Pictures (Vice President Corporate Affairs & Special Projects), and Live Entertainment Pictures (Vice President Corporate Affairs & Special Projects).

As a Hollywood executive, Ms. Evans was at the time, the youngest member ever appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Women in Film Foundation, The American Film Institute Associates, The League of Women Voters Education Fund, The Family Assistance Program, LA's BEST (Better Educated Students for Tomorrow), and The Motion Picture Export Association of America. She also served on the Advisory Board of POST/LA Expo, was a Co-Chair of the Hollywood Film Festival, and was a member of the American Film Institute Third Decade Council. She maintains strong connections in the entertainment, fashion and design industries, and enjoys serving as a liaison in partnering these artistic businesses with charitable causes.

Another of Ms. Evans's ventures was Legal Video Specialists, a Los Angeles-based service company which produced and prepared video evidence for attorneys worldwide.

Ms. Evans's forte has been capital fundraising for a broad range of industries, but with a focus on business development, corporate strategic planning, sales, marketing, public relations, and general management for entertainment, communications and related technology ventures including motion pictures, video, television and enhanced television, digital visual media, post production, and asset management.

Satisfying her passion for community service, Ms. Evans's background also included sponsoring fundraisers for many local, state and national political candidates as well as participation in various pediatric, humanitarian, civic and environmental causes.

As Ms. Evans was the first and only Chair of the United States for The Duke of Edinburgh Cup--a fundraising program of the British Monarchy's Duke of Edinburgh's Award International, she hosted the Earl and Countess of Wessex's (Prince Edward and Sophie) first joint visit to the United States.

Satisfying her passion for fashion and design, Ms. Evans is the founder of Jade Phoenix Designs, a luxury cashmere sweater line known as "Cashmere for a Cause," because 100% of sales are donated to charity.

Ms. Evans is a member of the Board of Rady Children's Hospital Rancho Santa Fe Auxiliary, for which she has Chaired the annual “Celebration of Champions" event since 2008. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the March of Dimes San Diego, ArtReach San Diego, and the Advisory Board of the San Diego Rescue Mission, San Diego Master Chorale, Pacific Lyric Association Opera, and the Steering Committee for The Old Globe Theatre Guilders. She is Regional Director of Fashion Group International and an Ambassador of the Clinton Foundation and the San Diego Film Festival. Ms. Evans is the dominant USA fundraising touchpoint for Sentebale, His Royal Highness Prince Harry's personal charity.
